Concerning the Ammonites: This is what the LORD says: "Has Israel no children? Has she no heirs? Why then has Molek taken possession of Gad? Why do his people live in its towns?"

Has [Israel's Gad] no heir? Why then has Milcom [the god the Ammonites call their king] dispossessed and inherited Gad, and [why do] his people dwell in Gad's cities?
