Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. KJV

May the Lord direct your hearts into [realizing and showing] the love of God and into the steadfastness and patience of Christ and in waiting for His return. AMP

And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation. AMP

And patience, experience; and experience, hope: KJV

And [Isaiah] said, Hear then, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary and try the patience of men, but will you weary and try the patience of my God also? AMP

And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also? KJV

I know your record and what you are doing, your love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that your recent works are more numerous and greater than your first ones. AMP

I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. KJV

So his fellow attendant fell down and begged him earnestly, Give me time, and I will pay you all ! AMP

And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. KJV
